Payment Providers

Payment providers (PSPs) process charges, refunds, and settlement data on behalf of your business. instellix does not act as a PSP — it orchestrates payment intents, settlements, and payment assignment against the provider accounts you connect.

For full-service payment (charging managed by instellix), you configure Stripe or Adyen in the webportal, then link them to merchant payment accounts, gateways, and customer payment accounts.

What you configure

A typical full-service setup includes:

  1. Provider credentials — API keys and environment settings for Stripe or Adyen
  2. Webhooks / reporting — so instellix receives payment results and settlement data (provider-specific)
  3. Retry Strategy — automatic retries after recoverable failed charges
  4. Merchant Payment Account (MPA) and Merchant Payment Gateway — routing of charges by currency and provider
  5. Customer Payment Accounts (CPA) — stored payment methods used for charging
